Gromaxx Hotel Management, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

As Director of Gromaxx hotel Apartments and Corporate affairs.

Role: since Feb’04 till july 2016

  • Leading the operations and formulating the annual business plan including operating, capital &cash budgets, marketing & benefit package
  • Determining the measurable objectives periodically for all managers
  • Delivering financial analysis to the board and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws
  • Driving the expansion, remodeling, major repair and maintenance projects

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Ramapuram Holiday Resort Ltd., Bangalore General Manager

With  Orange  County  Resort,  Siddapur,  Coorg,  Karnataka,  as  General  Manager  (Operations)  from Apr’01 – Aug’03

This resort had 50 cottages spread over 25 acres. A multi-cuisine restaurant, health spa (Ayurveda) and all the facilities of a five star hotel were present.

Role:

Oversaw  the  entire  gamut  of  tasks  including  profitability  of  the  unit  and implementation of policies

Achievements:

  • Functioned as a representative for ISO 9000-2001 to migrate from a people driven organization to a system driven organization within 3 months through KPMG.
  • Instrumental in achieving ISO 9000-2001certificationfor the resort on 10thApr’03 through KPMG
  • Bagged Gold Crown Award for 2002 and 2003 from RCI for Excellent Costumer Service.
  • Successfully achieved the highest target Rs. 6.9 Million in 31 days during May’01, Rs. 7.1 Million during
  • May’02 and Rs. 8 Million during May’03.

Cardamom County Parks & Hotels Pvt. Ltd., Thekkady, Kerala as General Manager

 

Role: from Apr’00 –Mar’01,

  • Established the resort with all the systems and procedures in the domestic
  • market with a target of 1.15 Cr

Achievements:

  • Actively involved in introducing systems & procedures like SOP and Ayurvedic Treatment in the resort

Effectively started sales and marketing functions and achieved the set target of Rs. 1.15 Crores with 6 months

Golden Waters Resort, Kumarakom, North, Kottayam, Kerala as General Manager (Operations) Dec’99 – Apr’00,

The resort was situated in the world famous back waters of Kerala and had 28 cottages facing the back water and the lake.

Achievements:

  • Instrumental in introducing:
  • Systems and procedures like SOP
  • Fishing in the resort
  • Privilege card for around 250 guests through FEED BACK FORM
  • Effectively controlled labour unrest by implementing Labour Law Act.
